The Foundation’s small insect collection consists of a synoptic collection from the Rob and Bessie Welder Wildlife Refuge and a small research collection of dung beetles (Scarabaeoidoe). The collection contains specimens from 10 different orders. The collections were compiled in the 1970’s by Dr. J. E. Gillaspy of Texas A&I University. Additions have been made to Gillaspy’s initial collection by WWF graduate students and other researchers.
