Reptiles
The Foundation’s reptile collection is representative of the Coastal Bend region of south Texas. It contains approximately 489 specimens from 84 different species. Two of the more interesting species in the collection include the Texas indigo snake (Drymarchon corais erebennus) and slender glass lizard (Ophissaurus attenuatus).
Amphibians
The amphibian collection contains a large representation of species from the Coastal Bend Region including 239 specimens from 20 species. The collection includes the sheep frog (Hypopachus variolosus) and Rio Grande frog (Syrrhophus cystignathoides campi).
