Mammals


Our mammal collection predominately contains representative skins and skulls of the mammals of the Coastal Bend region. It contains 354 specimens from 61 different species. Some of the more interesting mammals include the nine-banded armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus), javelina or collared peccari (Pecari tajacu), and mountain lion (Felis concolor).
